I was the second shooter at this wedding for Will Stedman Photography.

This was an amazing wedding to be a part of as there was so much energy and good vibes all day! Josh and Ellie got married at Gate Street Barn in Guildford, they had lots of beautiful decor and a winter colour scheme. They both got ready at the venue as there is two different rooms for the girls and the guys to get ready in. I was with the groomsmen in the morning in The Old Dairy, the energy was high, they were all so exited. Ellie had written a letter for josh to read the morning of their wedding which I though was such a lovely idea. After a few drinks they started getting ready, they were helping each other with their ties and buttonholes. Then the guests started arriving.

The bar was open for welcome drinks and the gift table and guest book was set up by the door ready for the guests when they arrived. The ceremony was held in the rustic barn, it was decorated with wooden cross back chairs, small jars of flowers hanging on the aisle seats, leaf garlands around the chandeliers, and a floral garland on the signing table. They had a saxophonist playing in the ceremony room as the guests took their seats. As Ellie walked down the aisle Josh had a tear in his eye. They had a lovely ceremony with a massive cheer at the end, you could tell how excited they were to be married. Everyone lined up outside for the confetti ready for the newly weds to walk out, there was lots of cheering and jumping about, it was great to see so much love and joy!

They had the drinks reception in the Orangery and the Pheasantry which are connected. They had mulled wine and aperol spritz for their guests as well as lots of canapés. The saxophonist played during the drinks reception which created a nice atmosphere. The guests were chatting away whilst the staff were turning the room around for the wedding breakfast. They had round tables with funny photos of the guests as their place card, it was hilarious to see their reactions to the photos! They also had one person carve the meat for each table, the person they chose to do it had a photo of their face photoshopped onto a sheep on the table. They then had to run out the back, put on a funny apron, a chefs hat, and walk out with the meat for their table. It's little ideas like this that make a wedding fun and different. After dinner they had lots of heart felt and funny speeches. Afterwards the guests headed back out to the Pheasantry so the staff could turn the room around again for the evening reception.

The DJ came in to set up the dance floor whilst the guests had their tea and coffee. Will got everyone outside ready for the sparkler exit, it's hard to coordinate lots of people lighting sparklers but it went well! Once the room was ready the bride and groom cut the cake and have their first dance. They had a brilliant first dance and then everyone else flooded the dance floor, I knew they'd all be dancing from the way the whole day had gone! It was amazing.
