Hackney Town Hall Wedding | Alex + Nikki

Alex and Nikki got married at Hackney Town Hall in London with lots of friends and family there to celebrate. Hackney Town Hall is one of the nicest registry offices in London, the interior is beautiful and suited their modern wedding perfectly. I love big weddings as the energy is always so high, the day was filled with so much laughter and love. They had two readings during the ceremony, they exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss. After the ceremony they had all the guests line up outside on the steps ready with handfuls of confetti to throw at the newly weds as they exited the building. They had LOTS of confetti and it looked amazing, more is always better with dried flowers. Then they stood on the steps for a huge group photo before heading off to the reception at The Art Pavilion in Mile End.

The Art Pavilion in London is usually home to a gallery but they do hire it out for events as well. It's deceiving from the outside as it's actually quite a large space. It's all open plan so you can style the venue however you like, Alex and Nikki decided to use one end of the room for seating and the other end for drinks and the dance floor in the evening. There's also some outside space you can use and a river that goes all the way around.

They had drinks and canapés being served to the guests as they arrived for the drinks reception. The bride and groom were greeted with a big cheer from the guests when they arrived at the reception. They had time to chill and chat with their guests before sitting down for food. They had 3 long tables for their guests to sit at during the wedding breakfast and speeches, this layout worked really well with the space. After the amazing food and heart felt speeches came the evening reception. The bride got changed into her evening outfit, white trousers and a crop top, ready for dancing. They had one of their guests as the DJ and they had their first dance and shortly after the guests joined them on the dance floor. It was an amazing day!
