I started the day photographing the girls getting ready at Hannah's home, she had her bridesmaids, mum and daughter with her. They had matching robes on whilst they had their hair and makeup done. They all had their hair done by the lovely Grace Benson. Hannah got into her stunning wedding dress and had her mum and bridesmaids help her. Her daughter ran over to her when she saw her in her dress which was a lovely moment. Meanwhile the guys were at The Oak Barn getting the venue ready, they done brilliant job and the bride was very happy.

When I arrived at The Oak Barn Was shown around the venue by the wedding coordinator. They have cottages were guests can stay, a large oak barn for the ceremony and reception, a smaller inside space for the drinks reception and an open barn which can also be used for the drinks reception and evening buffet. We used the open barn for the confetti and group shots as it was raining on and off during the day, it's a great space because you get all the natural daylight whilst being undercover in a rustic barn. Before the ceremony the guests were gathered in the smaller room where there was a Prosecco wall for welcome drinks and a mobile bar just outside. The bride arrived in a vintage yellow ford and hid inside one of the cottages until the ceremony began.

After the guests were seated for the ceremony the bridesmaids entered and then the bride and her mum. The bride and groom stood up on the stage for the ceremony where they read their own vows to each other which had people teary eyed. I would encourage everyone to write their own vows, it makes the ceremony so much more personal. Afterwards the guests headed outside to the open barn to line up for confetti, the bride and groom walked through and got showered in dried flowers. Then the guests had time to hug and congratulate the new Mr and Mrs, this is a part of the day I love. During the drinks reception we done the group shots and some couple portraits, some by the lake and in the barn. The rain was on and off but there's lots of sheltered areas at this venue so the weather didn't affect the day.

The staff set up the barn ready for the wedding breakfast. Everyone was called in to take their seats, they had a really cool macrame seating plan and other stationery created by Maple and Rae. There were four speeches; first the bride and groom done a joint speech which I thought was a lovely idea, then the mother of the bride, and two of the groomsmen. For the wedding breakfast they had a three course meal served by Vine and Dine catering. After dinner everyone headed back outside for some more drinks, they had a bar set up in the open barn. Whilst the evening guests were arriving I took the couple back off for some more portraits as the sun had come out. We went to the lake and cracked open the bottle of champagne I bought with me, I love doing a champagne spray shot they're so much fun! Then we walked to the top of the path where you enter the venue and took some photos there before heading back down to the guests. They wanted some funny group shots with their bridal party by the large light up letters. When it got dark out everyone headed back inside the oak barn for the evening reception. The bride and groom cut the cake and then had their first dance, they were joined by their bridal party shortly after.
