I recently photographed Elisha and Khalid's wedding at Hendall Manor Barns in Uckfield, East Sussex. It's a beautiful, family owned venue with grounds which provide lots of amazing places for photos. The bride arrived in a car from Three Kings Wedding Cars with her dad, they went inside and waited for the ceremony to start. The flower girls walked down the aisle holding hands with the bride and groom's young daughter who can't walk properly yet which was very cute. Then the father of the bride walked his daughter down the aisle to meet the groom. They had a short civil ceremony inside the barn surrounded by their families. They walked back up the aisle as husband and wife holding their daughter in their arms.
After the ceremony everyone headed outside so the staff could change the barn into the reception area. They had drinks and canapés in the courtyard. We took some group photos in the shade outside the barn then I took the bride and groom away for some couple shots. Behind the barn is a pond with a path which seems to have become a must have shot at this venue, there is also a swing on a tree and a garden behind the house we explored.
After these photos the couple got changed into something more comfortable and less hot as it was boiling out. I love how relaxed the couple were about their day, it makes everyone less stressed and allows them to enjoy it more. Later we took a big group shot of everyone and then headed inside to do the cake cut. The cake was made by Mrs B Bakes and was served later for dessert, I can confirm it was delicious! Everyone got seated for the wedding breakfast, they had a lovely summer BBQ with potatoes and salads. There were no speeches, just a toast to the bride and groom, nice and simple. In the evening the bride and groom left to go on their mini honeymoon in London, they stayed at the Shard and had a few days to themselves to explore London and relax together.
