Mary-Ann + Aharon | Patrick's Barn Wedding

Mary-Ann and Aharon got married at St. Peters church in Ardingly and had their reception at Chiddinglye Estate using Patrick's Barn for their wedding breakfast.

The bride got ready at her home with her bridesmaids and mum. One of the things I loved about this wedding was how the family all got involved, the mother of the groom handmade the bride's wedding dress, the bride's mum baked the wedding cake and one of the bride's sisters created all of the floral displays and bouquets which I think made it extra special and unique. The dress was simple and elegant, she paired it with a beautiful silver tiara and ivory shoes. The theme for the flowers was purples, pinks, whites and greens which seem to be very popular this year. Mary-Ann's sister done her hair and makeup. Once they were all dressed they drove 2 minutes down the road to their local church for the ceremony.

St. Peter's Church is a small and intimate church in Ardingly. They had a beautiful floral display on the entrance of the church which looked amazing. They had a lovely ceremony with three readings from family members. After the ceremony the guests lined up outside the church ready to shower the newly weds in confetti. We took the group shots and then everyone headed to the reception at Chiddinglye Estate which was only a short drive away.

When the guests arrived the were directed to the lawns where the drinks reception was being hosted. They had drinks and delicious canapés handed out by the amazing team at The Garden Chef. There is a huge lawn where the kids could run around and play, and a big tree at the end which provided some shade on that very hot day. I took the bride and groom for a few portraits in the tree lined path which looked cool, it also gave them a bit of time alone together which is always nice.

Then everyone headed down to Patrick's Barn for the wedding breakfast, they had pie and mash which I though was amazing and then a tart for dessert, the food by The Garden Chef was delicious. They even put in the extra effort of personalising the pastry on the top of the bride and groom's pies and also putting their initials on the biscuits which came with the dessert, they said it was a lovely, unexpected touch. They set up some tables outside the main barn, one was for cards and gifts, one was a polaroid station with props so guests could take photos and put it in the guest book, and one had cups and soft drinks on it so guests could help themselves. After dinner they had speeches from the groom, his best man and one of the bride's sister, she delivered a really touching speech on their dad's behalf as he has passed away.

Before the evening guests arrived I took the couple back to the lawn for some evening photos, it was much cooler by this point so they were happy to go for a stroll around the grounds. We headed to the evening reception which was held in the Missing Link Brewery Tap Room. The DJ Brian Mole had set up his camper van style booth and was playing music for the guests. Once the evening guests had arrived and everyone was in the tap room the bride and groom had their first dance, soon joined by their friends and family on the dance floor. The DJ was playing some great music which kept everyone up dancing, the kids were loving it too. This was such a lovely wedding, lots of personal touches and DIY decor which made it extra special. Thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
