I'm constantly looking for new places to stay in the Sussex countryside with my partner, it's a great way to spend time together and relax. Some of my best memories with my partner are when we have stayed at a wooden cabin near Petworth; it's kind of in the middle of no where but that's what makes it so relaxing. Being surrounded by greenery and animals makes you slow down and appreciate the small things. Any cabin with a hot tub is a huge plus for me, I absolutely love them. Whether you're looking for a weekend away, a staycation or a mini moon, a cabin getaway would be perfect. Let's have a look at some of the best I've found:
Drew's Farm, West Sussex/Hampshire
Anna has two Shepherd's huts on her land in Rowland's Castle. They have beautifully decorated interiors and a copper bath hot tub outside to add to the relaxation of the countryside views. There's a fire pit allowing guests to do their own BBQ for dinner whilst enjoying the sunset over the fields. This airbnb is great for outdoorsy couples who like to go for walks and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. They have the option to hire out electric bikes, book windsurfing lessons and have your meals prepared by a local chef. Everything you need for the perfect getaway.

Swallowtail Hill, East Sussex
There are five different types of accommodation available at Swallowtail Hill Farm, all different types of wooden cabins/ cottages. My favourites are The Roundhouse and The Longview. The Roundhouse is a round wooden hut, perfect for couples looking for a luxury woodland retreat. There is a wood-fired hot tub and fire pit to cook al fresco or toast marshmallows. Guests can order Breakfast Boxes and BBQ boxes before they arrive to make self-catering easier. They describe The Long View as luxury glamping with a view. It has been decorated beautifully and the outside space offers a hot tub and fire pit. The full length window at the end of the cabin not only allows the guests to watch the sunrise from their bed, but it also fully opens up to bring the outdoors inside.

Willow the Wisp Cabin, Ticehurst, East Sussex
This luxurious woodland cabin brings a glamping vibe to the woods of East Sussex, complete with a wood burner, dining terrace and gorgeous hot tub. The cabin's location is ideal for walks in the woods and exploring quaint village pubs nearby. It offers some special extras including a fantastic naked flame hot tub right outside which is perfect for a candlelit soak, you’ll also be kept warm by the wood-burner. After a long walk in the woods, you can sit and appreciate the natural beauty of the setting, with only the wildlife for company.

Walkwood Wagon, Uckfield, East Sussex
This pretty little wagon has been beautifully converted into cosy accommodation for couples. Here you are surrounded by the National Trust bluebell woodlands with miles of woodland trails and national park to explore. There is an outdoor heated bath for you to relax in whilst taking in the views. The campfire or the wood-burner will take care of the cooking, as well as keeping you warm and toasty during the evenings. If you like steam trains you could take a trip on the Bluebell Railway which goes between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead.

Bensfield Treehouse, East Sussex
Escape to the treetops with this luxury treehouse, it's the perfect romantic getaway. A delicious complimentary hamper is provided upon arrival to get your holiday started. It's the perfect location for nature lovers and fans of long country walks as the property sits within 44 acres of land which you are free to roam. If you want to relax you can enjoy a luxurious soak out on the terrace in the roll top bath whilst taking in the stunning surroundings.

Hill Cabin, Catsfield, East Sussex
This charming cabin is on a secluded corner of a 25-acre farm. Guests can enjoy the onsite facilities including a lovely shop filled with fresh local ingredients and cafe. There's a cute summer house and wood-fired hot tub where guests can enjoy the views of the beautiful countryside. Couples love taking walks through the meadows and woodland, discovering cosy pubs before returning to the timber cabin for star spotting from the hot tub or toasting marshmallows over the fire-pit. It's the perfect place to relax and be around nature. The interior is white and clean, beautifully designed to make you feel calm.
