Suppliers I used for my own wedding

Me and my partner Joe decided on having a super small wedding in my grandparents back garden in Essex as we wanted it to be intimate and informal. We got married on 14th May 2022 at Waltham Abbey Town Hall with only immediate family and close friends. Below are some of the suppliers we used for our wedding day that I would highly recommend:

David Dean Photographic

David stepped in for me last minute as my original photographer had to cancel. I work with David a lot so I already knew he was going to be amazing. I felt extremely lucky to have him there photographing my day, I will always treasure the moments he captured. David is an Essex based wedding photographer, he has a relaxed approach and he's an incredible photographer, I would highly recommend him.

Amber Rose Morgan Films

I chose Amber to video my wedding as I only wanted people I'm comfortable with there. I met Amber in 2020 through a styled shoot we done in Brighton, I loved what she created from that shoot so I wanted her to film my day. The most important thing to me was that she filmed me and Joe reading our letters to each other and I wanted someone who I felt comfortable reading such a personal letter in front of. I was speechless when I saw the video, it was better than I could've hoped for! She managed to capture so much as one person and the storytelling is brilliant. The best part is getting to relive the day over and over again. It's nice to hear the speeches again because I couldn't remember them after the day. Thank you Amber!

Holly Tripp Calligraphy

We wanted to write a letter to each other to read before the ceremony but I didn't want it to be on a phone or a normal piece of paper so I asked Holly if she could make us something to write on with custom calligraphy on the front. She used thick, textured paper with deckled edges and black calligraphy on the front. Reading the letters to each other was such a special, intimate moment that I will remember forever. We will frame our letters and put them up in the house.

Slow Dough Pizza Co

We wanted a relaxed wedding so we were looking into caterers and buffets but then we came across Slow Dough Pizza Co and we were sold. My partner is half Italian and pizza is our favourite food so it was a no brainer. They had a bit of trouble with their pizza oven on the day but they worked hard to fix it and feed everyone.

Rooted and Co. Shoreham

Rooted and Co are our local flower shop on Shoreham High Street. Maria who works there is so lovely, my dog absolutely adores her. She helped me choose which dried flowers to use for my bouquet and button holes. They came out perfect! Anyone looking for a florist for their wedding in Sussex check out Rooted and co, they have shops in Brighton, Shoreham and Haywards Heath.

Locate to Create

I love the items these guys have, they always create such amazing set ups so I felt really lucky to have them style my wedding. I had the trestle tables, wooden chairs, wooden love letters, milk bottle vases, pink glass candle holders and a blue velvet sofa. Everyone loved the sofa, it was a great place to take photos.

Victoria Harper Bridal bought from The Farnham Boutique

I travelled to Surrey to visit The Farnham Boutique as they were the closest place that stocked Victoria Harper bridal hair pieces. Victoria Harper is sold online but I really wanted to try them on so that's why I made the hour journey to Farnham. The staff at The Farnham Boutique were fantastic, very helpful and gave me some time and space to try on the head pieces. I ended up buying a floral head band and my mum bought a floral clip for her hair.

Cutter and Squidge & The Letter Loft

After seeing one of my brides having a cutter and squidge cake for her wedding I had a look on their website. I didn't really want a big 3 tier cake as our wedding only had 16 guests so we decided to buy three 8" cakes online to be delivered the day before the wedding, it was super easy and the cakes tasted amazing! The cake topper was from the letter loft, it's great quality and they have lots of different designs.
