Julio and Katie were getting married at Eastbourne Town Hall with a few family members but they wanted some elopement style photos as well so I suggested Cuckmere Haven Cliffs in Seaford as it's close by and the view is amazing. We met up a few days before their wedding for this shoot, it was super cloudy all day but the clouds cleared just before sunset so luckily we could get some nice sunset photos. We had a walk up to the top of the cliffs, it's quite steep but worth the walk when you see the view from the top.
I really enjoyed this shoot because I got to hear their incredible love story. They met over instagram and at the time Julio lived in Maryland, USA and Katie lived in Sussex so there was quite a distance between them. This didn't stop them growing a relationship though and Katie made the big jump to fly out and visit him last last year in 2021. Although she was scared she was very exited to meet Julio in person. Then in early 2022 Julio caught a flight out to the UK to live with Katie and her two boys. They got engaged shortly after and started planning their wedding. Due to problems with visas they had to get married quickly before Julio had to go back to America. I was in awe of their story, they must be madly in love to go through all of this together. I wish them all the luck in the world with their relationship and future family.
