I've had an amazing year of weddings in 2022, I wanted to think back and share my top moments of the year.
Back in February, Crystal and Jake had their wedding ceremony at Brighton Town Hall with only a few family and friends. After their ceremony, the bride played a song from a speaker and invited the groom to have their first dance. It was a really sweet moment between them, just dancing on the street together.
Georgina and Lewis got married at Cissbury Barns in Worthing. I loved everything about their wedding but the memorable moment was definitely the dance floor as they had such a fun group of people who kept the dance floor lively which is always great to see.
Lucie and Harry had their wedding in their garden in Shoreham which made it feel extra special and intimate. They had two beautiful, vintage fabric marquees, one for the band and dancing and one for the wedding breakfast and speeches. The most memorable part of the day was the conga train they done after their first dance which went through the house and all around the garden.
Harry and Laura's wedding is one of my favourites to date, it was at Iford Hall in Lewes, they had lots of DIY decor and so many personal touches. My favourite part of the day was their outdoor ceremony, they had hay bales and wooden chairs for their guests to sit on, a handmade origami crane backdrop made by the bride, readings from family members, hand fasting, and their love story read by the lovely celebrant Claire from Creating Ceremony.
Julio and Katie have an incredible love story that I'm so glad they shared with me. They had a couples shoot the day before their wedding where they told me all about their relationship. They met online, Julio lived in America and Katie lived in Sussex, but they made it work and got married.
Georgina and Liam had a small wedding at Brighton Town Hall, after the ceremony we walked to the seafront for some couple photos. They wanted to go on the carousel so I sat backwards on the horse in front of them and we took some photos, it was really fun.
Hannah and Josh had their wedding at the amazing Oak Barn, Frame Farm in Kent. It was a lovely wedding and the memorable moment was when we went to the pontoon on the lake to spray champagne at sunset. These guys were so much fun!
These are just a few of my favourite moments of 2022 but there have been so many more. I'm so grateful for all of my lovely couples trusting me to capture their wedding!
