When planning the shoot I asked Lucy and Aidan if they fancied doing their engagement shoot at Petworth Park as I've always wanted to go there. Turns out it is a very special place to them; it is where Aidan proposed and Lucy works there for the National Trust. So we planned a date and met there at sunset, we didn't get a golden hour because it was very cloudy that day but we had the whole park to ourselves which was incredible.
We went for a slow walk around the lake and came across some deer which was amazing to see. They brought along some Prosecco and glasses for the shoot which was great, I highly recommend bringing props if you feel awkward in front of camera as it gives you something to do and helps you relax. We found a nice place to sit looking over the lake towards Petworth House and they cracked open the bottle of Prosecco.
These guys are getting married next year at Slindon House and I'm very excited to photograph their big day. It will be the biggest wedding I've done so far with 130 day guests. They're hoping to have their ceremony outside the orangery which will be amazing, I've got my fingers crossed for sunny weather! And then they've got a buffet style BBQ planned for dinner. It's going to be lots of fun, I can't wait.
