I met Sophie and Dani for their couple shoot on Worthing beach by the pier. I wanted it to feel like a date night to get them relaxed so we started at Oregano Pizza where they ordered a Margherita and an El Diablo to share (I can confirm both are very delicious). We sat outside the restaurant under the fairy lights and had a chat so I could get to know them and their relationship better. They are an adventurous couple who are currently looking to buy their first home, how exciting! We headed over to the seafront where we spotted some amusements, Dani tried her luck at a darts game but didn't win (who wins on these games anyway?). They grabbed some candy floss and headed to the beach.
They sat on the beach admiring the pier and the sunset behind it, they are from London so this really was like a date night for them. They are very fond of Brighton and have visited many times but I decided to take them to Worthing as I knew it would be less busy. We walked underneath the pier and along the beach towards the beautiful orange sunset. I just let them chat and have fun together to get some natural shots. Sophie used some cheesy pick up lines to make her girlfriend laugh and make her more comfortable. They walked along the wet sand, jumping over the wooden groynes and cuddling to keep warm. It was a little chilly as it's getting close to Autumn but we had a lot of fun.
I love the string lights in the background that go along the seafront. Worthing has a charm about it, it's definitely improved in recent years with lots of new independent shops and restaurants. I think it's a great place to do an engagement shoot, especially on the beach at low tide. We are blessed with lots of amazing locations in West Sussex with the beaches, towns and the South Downs.
